Even the well-liked local actor and Brooklyn resident Steve Buscemi seems to be in danger on the streets of the Big Apple these days.
Law enforcement sources claimed that last week, while strolling around Kips Bay, the 66-year-old Buscemi was attacked in broad daylight by an attacker.

This was one of several unprovoked attacks that have occurred across five boroughs. The actor was brought to Bellevue Hospital for treatment after experiencing swelling in his left eye and cheek. According to police reports, the attacker ran away from the site during the confusion and is currently at large.

Around 7:45 p.m., Xavier Israel, a 27-year-old unstable transient, was taken into custody in relation to the assault. close to East Drive and East 90th Street. In 2022, Israel was already under arrest for robberies and assaults.
